Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of The Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Really upping my soap game

    After using this soap, I think my other cheap bar soap is ruined for me. Honestly, this soap is a bit pricey for me, but after using it for about a month I can tell it's great quality and it doesn't dry my skin out like my old soap. I love the smell too. Excited to try the other scents!

    The perfect lemon-y soap

    This soap smells lemon-y and refreshing in the shower without drying out or irritating my skin, like most citrus-scented soaps do. It mellows out to a perfect herbal smell when you dry, which is my favourite part! I love citrus, but I find the lingering scent is usually overpowering. So glad I took the chance on this one as it's my new favourite
