Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of The Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Great soap

    These soaps are great at making your skin feel very clean without a residue or any real scent on the skin. The cinnamon in this scent is really great at making the whole shower feel warm and homey.

    Relaxed and Cinnamon

    It is a very nice soap. I used it with a sponge and it bubbled very quickly and a lot, plus because it is a bar, it was less likely I use too much and waste a bunch, which is a problem I have with shower gel. It smells very much of cinnamon and I think the citrus comes out the more you use it. The body feels very relaxed after. Would be fantastic as a gift!

    It smells spicy and warm - reminds me of chai, which is one of my favorite beverages. There's a little texture to the bar and it's a nice color, too.

    Good quality, smells like Atomic Fireballs

    While the quality of this soap is pretty good, the smell is more than I can handle. To me, it smells like Red Hots or Atomic Fireballs. I might end up tossing this bar because of the smell. It does seem to lather a bit more than the other bars, but, that isn't a bad thing.
