Ingredients: Saponified oils of sunflower, coconut, sustainable palm; essential oils of blood orange, cardamom, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon bark; pink clay; cocoa butter; calendula petals; rosemary extract.

Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

Where the Money is Going

The founding goal of The Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Wonderful scent, clean feeling

    I really like this scent. It was pleasing enough that my wife commented on it after a shower, which hasn't happened with other soaps or scents. And it has the same "clean" feeling as all the other Sun Basin Soaps I've tried.

    I was not expecting chunks of stuff to be in the soap bar (maybe it's the cinnamon bark?) but it has an exfoliating-sort of feel to it that's not too aggressive. I don't dislike it, but definitely wasn't expecting it to be there.

    Good Soap

    This soap smells good and will leave you feeling clean. If you worry about dry skin, it can be a good idea to moisturize after. This would be a five star review if any of their soap didn't smell like rosemary.
