Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

    Heartwood is an awesome soap. It smells very masculine and there are notes of orange and tea tree, which I love. 10 out of 10 will buy again

    A nice androgynous smell

    My goth heart loves this deep black soap lol and it has a really clean refreshing smell that kind of smells like a guys deodorant and I mean that as a compliment. It’s not a sweet or fruit smell it’s what I’d imagine if there’s a product that’s supposed to be like an iceberg like obviously that’s not a specific smell but I get what you’re saying. I’ve used it almost all up and the remainder is in the scrub bag which really does make it last longer and foams up the soap. And then it dries like plastic wrap lol

    My current favorite Sun Basin soap

    Really good soap with a really good scent. The tea provides a dark, yet gentle base, while the orange cuts through the darkness of the tea, making a wonderfully balanced scent.

    Still desperately waiting on a vanilla scented soap, but until then, this is a close second. Love it. Highly recommend.
