Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Bright and soothing scents

    I really love this one. It has a bright and soothing scent that is extremely pleasant while showering. Does the job without leaving soapy residue on the skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. Would recommend will buy again.

    When Sun Basin Soap launched, I purchased (if I recall correctly) the six soaps that were available at the time. Since then, shampoo bars and other scents have been added to the mix, and I look forward to trying those as well! As of the time of this review, though, Navigator is my favorite. Some of the citrus flavors are wonderful, but Navigator is that scent that just makes me feel super clean and enjoy my showers that much more thanks to the lovely smell. Highly recommend! It won't be missing from any of my future soap boxes.

    Excellent soap!

    Fresh scent without being overpowering. I’ve tried many “natural” type soaps and they often leave almost a film on my skin after using and this didn’t do that. I will be ordering again!
