Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Bright and soothing scents

    I really love this one. It has a bright and soothing scent that is extremely pleasant while showering. Does the job without leaving soapy residue on the skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. Would recommend will buy again.

    Be careful! Sensitive skin havers!!

    The smell is very good, it lather nicely, but the exfoliation is sharp! The bits in the bar left scratches on more delicate skin after the shower. I recommend having thick skin or using a washcloth to wash yourself.

    Great Scent Balance

    I'm a big fan of both mint and eucalyptus scents, so I was excited for this soap! I was a little worried the scent might be too strong, but it's a great balance between the two. It definitely keeps it scent, because I stored it for a few month before using it and it still smelled great. I find that their soaps lather well!
