The Winter’s Sunrise Soap Box Is

A hush in the air, fragile with memory. Frost clings to hidden paths as light filters through high canopies, silver and green. The wind stirs, bright and sudden, pulling breath from the stillness and leaving something cleaner behind.

Night gathering at the windows. A soft glow from the kitchen, flour hanging in the air like dust in sunbeams. Slow stirrings, the creak of wood, the deep sweetness of something just beginning to rise. Outside, the world cools and quiets. Inside, the warmth lingers.

The last light slipping behind the hills. Smoke threading upward, slow and deliberate, carrying the echo of something otherworldly. Earth, still warm beneath bare feet. Sparks rise and fall, brief and bright, as the dark settles close around the flame.

Sugar Pine - Fir & Peppermint

Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

Great Soap for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin products go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.
