Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Wonderful shampoo bar!

    This shampoo bar smells amazing, like a sweet spring morning, and lathers really well in my long thick hair! It is not irritating to my sensitive dandruff prone scalp and I don't mind the texture because it's better than other shampoo bars that leave a grainy rice feeling that pulls at my hair. I love that I'm not paying for water, the bar takes up way less space than a bottle of shampoo, and the profits are helping mothers and children in Sierra Leone!

    Solid Shampoo forever more

    I really wasn't sure if I could get on the solid-shampoo train but I absolutely ADORE this product! It is great for color-treated hair & great at cleaning my hair and scalp without buildup over time! I'd recommend pairing it with a scalp scrubber to get the product evenly distributed down the hair but it's also perfectly useful without one. I've been using this shampoo exclusively for well over a year now and hope to never go back :)

    Fun to try something new

    I was a bit worried about this one when I first ordered but have been pleasantly surprised. Gets the job done and still looks brand new after several washes. Suds up nicely. Definetly think this will last much longer than a typical bottle of shampoo at a much better price. Thanks!
