Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

    Feels like Sandpaper

    Apparently I didn't read the "exfoliation" in the description. I just thought I'd try a new scent. It smells great and I love the Sun Basin soaps, but I do not recommend if you have soft skin. It feels like sandpaper :(

    I recommend Trailblazer or Lemongrass. Both are soft and great smells!

    You Were My First

    This was the first scent I tried and it has a nice gentle smell. This and Trailblazer are my favorite. The bar is so solid and lasts so long. I tried using Dove bar soap to compare and man is there a difference! Dove "bleeds" all over and felt filmy. Sun Basin felt like the soap only came off when I wanted it to. It did NOT bleed and make the area all gross in the shower. It gave me a nice clean feeling. Again, great smell. I believe it lasted longer too. Oh! When you get to the end of the bar Dove just crumbled whereas Sun Basis was still solid and one piece to the very end. When it was too small to handle I just put it on top of the next bar, they solidify and no waste! Highly recommend.

    I love the citrus smell in the morning, great to wake up to. The bar is so solid and lasts so long. I tried using Dove bar soap to compare and man is there a difference!     Positive experience.

    So far so good. Really enjoy the sent. Definitely strongly floral and bright. Lathers well. Not quite as pretty as mocked up in the photo, but that is not particularly important.
