Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

    My favorite scent of those offered

    I worked my way through all the different shampoo bars, and this was my last one to try. I expected the scent to be more pine/forest forward, but the juniper adds a lovely berry-esque scent mingled in that makes this my favorite scent offered. I don't wash my hair every day, so these last me forever.

    The smeelllllll

    OWaaah I love how it smelled, I do wish that it would remain in my hair but there's plusses to it not staying too. Very easy to use! Lasts for so long, unlike bottled shampoos and I use less shampoo per wash. Easy to keep dry and store

    Smells like the woods

    Smells amazing! I've tried a couple shampoo bar brands (Ethique and Kitsch) which work but usually leave a film in my hair. This brand however leaves my hair completely clean and smells great. I pair it with a conditioner bar from Ethique (conditioner is NOT applied to the roots). I'll buy this brand forever.
