Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

    Amazing stuff

    I bought this as a trial package because I’ve never used a shampoo bar. Before I had a chance to try it, the Hubs ran out of his shampoo and snagged it. He immediately began raving about how soft his hair felt while also feeling really clean. Now, the Hubs isn’t your normal “don’t care” about hair care types. He absolutely cares and this is now his favorite. So much so, that he is using it as an everything soap. As a side note, he hates lemon. When he asked me to order more for him and read that it was lemon, he was surprised. He said the lemon smelled more like clean, than a strong fake lemon. He loves it so much, we are now signed up for the monthly delivery. I’ve now been able to try it also, and yep-it’s everything he raved about it being. We had to increase the number of bars delivered each month. lol

    Probably the best shampoo bar I've ever used.

    I've been looking for a good-quality shampoo bar for a while now. My hair is very sensitive, so it gets oily really quickly if I don't have a good shampoo, a recurring issue with shampoo bars... But this one really works! It lathers super well, smells fresh but light, and it leaves my hair looking clean for days. Plus, I've been using it for a couple of months now and I can't even tell, there is no noticeable reduction in the size; another win over many other shampoo bars. I will definitely be buying it again! <3

    Very impressive

    I was surprised how much lather this small bar gets. It leaves my hair nicely clean, soft, and not dried out. The lemon scent has a kind of grassy undertone, like it reminds me of lemon grass more than lemons. It is very pleasant. It lasts for a very long time as well. I wash my hair maybe twice a week and it feels like I have barely put a dent in the bar over the last month. I would guess for me the bar will easily last 4 months if not longer.
