Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Love this shampoo!

    I tried a previous scent that was amazing and this one is no different. Their shampoo bars are the best I've tried thus far. For my usage, one bar can last 3 months. I just wish they offered an unscented option as well!

    My favorite shampoo bar!

    I've tried several of the sun basin soap shampoo bars and this one is my favorite. They all clean well but this bar leaves your hair feeling soft even before applying conditioner. I don't love that squeaky-clean feeling so this aspect makes the product extra awesome in my book.

    Great shampoo bar

    I’ve been using shampoo bars for a couple of years now. This is a great product, smells great, but not too strong. Does a good job cleaning my hair and leaving it well moisturized, I don’t use a conditioner with it. So far seems like it will last close to two months at least.

    If you’re worried about giving up a good lather, let those worries go. This bar gives a luxurious foam that can’t be beat by any liquid from a bottle. The scent is invigorating and natural, good enough that you might just go back for a double wash (something I find myself doing often).
