Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

    Great shampoo, but crumbles

    I want to love this product so bad. It smells fantastic, lathers well and leaves my hair feeling great. My only issue with it is that it crumbled apart and became hard to use. I ended up having to melt the broken pieces back into one solid bar by heating it up.

    If this issue were addressed, I’d absolutely keep buying this.

    Does not disappoint!

    I've been happy with every fragrance so far and this is no different! Love the scent on this shampoo. Just fragrant enough without being overwhelming. Cleans very well with no residue left on my hair and is gentle on my sensitive skin.

    Cleans well, maybe a little too well

    I started using this shampoo every other wash, alternating it with another shampoo. My hair is oily and I deal with dandruff, so I need to use a lot of this shampoo in order to absorb the oil on my hair and scalp. This shampoo does absorb the oil, but it makes my hair feel too dried out afterwards, like it’s stripping away nutrients. I plan on keeping the shampoo bar in my hair routine, but perhaps alternating with another shampoo or using more sparing amounts of it.
