Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

Where the Money is Going

Great Soap for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Smells like Froot Loops

    This soap smells like Froot Loops. It's terrific.

    Also, I have oily skin, and a lot of soaps I've tried (like Dove) leave this slimy residue on my skin that makes me feel gross; this soap does not do that. I like this soap a whole lot.

    Nice scent and great soap

    This is really nice soap! I have sensitive skin, and even though it is scented, this soap didn't irritate my skin. It also seems to last longer in the shower than a lot of other fancy soaps I've had. It lathers really well and rinses really cleanly. My partner says this soap smells like sugary, theoretically-fruit-flavored breakfast cereal.
