Ingredients: Saponified oils of sunflower, coconut, sustainable palm; essential oils of orange, clary sage, tangerine, and litsea; shea butter; mica; annatto seed; rosemary extract.

Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

Where the Money is Going

Great Soap for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Very refreshing fragrance!

    This soap is indeed a bright citrus soap! It has a lovely, strong citrus (mostly lemon) scent that wakes you right up in the shower! Would buy again, although it is a little pricey for a bar of soap. I like the ethics/mission of the Good Store so I will pay the higher price :-)

    Felt so much silkier than I thought!

    I transitioned to bar soaps about a year ago, and have gotten used to the different, more friction-y way they make your skin feel after you rinse them off versus liquid body soaps. When I switched to this soap though, I was shocked by how smooth and luxurious it felt in my hands! It felt like rubbing olive oil all over my body (in a good way). It did still leave a bit of that feeling behind after rinsing, but I think that's just a thing about bar soap, and it's minimized here. In total, I love this new soap. It smells great (a little more herby than I thought but it's good!), feels great, and makes me feel great about the company I'm supporting.

    I've used 2 different bars from good store but this is my favorite so far! It feels like luxury. To my, the scent is very light so if you're sensitive to smell this might be good. Then again, I like aggressive smells so take that with a grain of salt.

    This soap does feel really silky and makes luxurious lather

    Beware--it smells delicious!

    This is probably my favorite soap that I've bought so far. It was quite disconcerting to walk into my bathroom and smell Froot Loops, but once I realized it was the soap, I could breathe more easily (and enjoy using the soap even more)!
