Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     I dont really want to use any other soap now

    While other soaps leave me feeling soaped, this actually makes me feel clean. It exfoliates perfectly in a way I never knew I needed until I tried it. At first, I thought it left my skin feeling a little dry but I am on my 6th bar of this stuff now and I don't really want to use any other soap.

    Pros: smells great, didn't dry out my skin.

    Cons: pumice was a little rough for my sensitive skin. I worry about the eucalyptus oils with our cats, but make sure to rinse the shower well when I'm done just in case.

    I like it as a hand soap

    I personally don't like exfoliating body soap (but my wife does), so I prefer this as a hand soap.

    I find that I actually enjoy washing my hands. It smells good and feels good.
