Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of The Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Smells great, washes great

    The smell from the soap is wonderful, evocative, and just strong enough to be pleasant during hand washing, but not obtrusive when you are done. The soap itself lathers nicely and washes off well (with DC Metro tap water) nicely leaving a clean feeling.

    Smells like Pine Spirit

    I shower and am magically transported to the year 1998 in northern Minnesota to a cabin in the woods. How does a bar of soap accomplish this? I'm betting it's some sort of black magic. 10/10, Would lather again.

    I'm afraid I'm using it way too fast

    I love a good masculine scent, especially a woodsy one. I also haven't been as good about exfoliating as I usually like to be, but this soap is absolutely killing it. It smells so good, and as a person who has had a lot of trouble in the past with using a full bar of soap until it's gone, I've already used almost half the bar in as little as about two weeks. It smells good, it feels good, and I always feel so clean after using it :3
