Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Surprisingly great scent

    As a regular user of Sun Basin Soap, the soap quality is as good as always. The scent is exciting! I was eager to try it based on the ingredients. I wasn’t expecting the scent based on those ingredients, but it smells wonderful! I’ll definitely be reordering this one.

    Good but takes a few to warm up

    Nice but smelled a little bland / stale for the first wash or two. Not sure why. Once it got going it was rad, though.

    Smells soo good!

    I'm usually not big on scented stuff but I really enjoyed this soap. When it's dry it has a very woodsy smell, and when wet it has more fruity and citrusy notes come through.

    It's a real soap so it can be drying if you use it in the shower, definitely moisturize after if you're in a dry environment.
