Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

    Smells just like a christmas tree

    This shampoo bar has lasted me for months, lathers well and leaves my hair smelling like Christmas. Can't wait to try out the other scents and would love to see a warm vanilla one in the future. Great sustainable alternative to shampoo bottles!

    warshed mah beard with this and now i smell like i’ve got shirelings telling me i ought to look into the goings on at isengard. it doesn’t make much sense to me but, then again, they are very small.

    So much easier to use than liquid shampoo

    My hair is down to my waist so hair wash days are always a big to do. With liquid shaping I felt like I could never put the right amount on my head, always way too little or way too much. I’m 25 years old and I felt like I was going crazy. I tried the shampoo bar today and it got my hair cleaner faster than any liquid shampoo I’ve ever used. With liquid shampoo it’s hard to get under the top layer of hair, but with the bar I could easily lift the hair, not worry about the soap running out of my hands and then apply directly to my scalp. if I needed more on an area I’d just rub the bar there. The texture of the soap is phenomenal. It also smells heavenly. Honestly, this is the best hair washing experience I’ve had outside of someone else doing it at a salon.

    Feels great, smells better!

    I have fine textured straight hair that is typically pretty oily, and I've been using good store shampoo bars for about a year now with great results. It lathers up nicely, and the juniper pine scent is fresh and woodsy. (I also love the rosemary mint scent!) I follow up with an apple cider vinegar rinse instead of conditioner, and my hair is left feeling super soft and healthy. I would definitely recommend!
