Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Excellent soap

    The only reason I give this 4 stars is that if you're a washcloth user the scrubby bits get caught in your washcloth. Otherwise, perfect, and if you're not a washcloth-er it would be 5 stars for sure.

    Smells very good - very earthy and foresty and mysterious. It's very gentle and hydrating, so despite how grown up it smells, it's fine on my kid's skin.

    Soft, Dreamy Lather and Gorgeous Scent

    I just took my first shower with Forager and I’m excited for my next one! Showers are typically a sensory experience that’s a tad difficult for me, so anything that can make them easier and more enjoyable is a godsend. Forager lathered quickly and easily with a lather that felt soft and moisturizing while getting the sweat and grime of the day off. I got the wooden soap saver as well and didn’t have any issues with slippery soap on the run. Even body washes that claim to not strip the skin are usually drying on mine, but when I use Forager, I don’t feel the desperate, immediate need to layer on lotion that I normally do right out of the shower, just clean and comfortable. Safe to say this won’t be my last Sun Basin Soap product!

    Probably My Favorite One

    Garden Party gives a run for its money. But this stuff is awesome. It satisfies my desire to smell Masculine but it also is a positive thing. Nice.

    Like Washing with Pine Needles

    They list it as 'exfoliating' which is probably too gentle a description; the coffee grounds are quite sharp. That said, I actually really like the texture and the scent AND the principle. Subscribed.

    Woodsy and Wonderful

    I'm a big fan of this one, nice woodsy scent, but be aware you probably want to use a washcloth or similar as it can definitely be a bit abrasive if applied directly.
