Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of The Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Like Washing with Pine Needles

    They list it as 'exfoliating' which is probably too gentle a description; the coffee grounds are quite sharp. That said, I actually really like the texture and the scent AND the principle. Subscribed.

    Woodsy and Wonderful

    I'm a big fan of this one, nice woodsy scent, but be aware you probably want to use a washcloth or similar as it can definitely be a bit abrasive if applied directly.

    Smells woody and sweet. It's strongest when you first get it wet, but fades quickly, which is nice in my opinion. I like the subtle smells.

    you have no bad options on this site

    I used Dove and Old Spice products from like, 6th grade til Graduate school and on my first soap bar I kept talking about how I'd never felt cleaner. Try them all! Gift them! What's the harm in doing and smelling good?
