Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

    Love it!!

    I’ve been using the shampoo bars since they came out and hoping for conditioner bars, so I was excited to try this!! I have used a conditioner bar from another company in the past, and Sun Basin Soap’s conditioner bar made my hair feel SO much more moisturized and soft; I could feel the difference right away when I was rinsing it out of my hair in the shower!! And it smells so nice, it’s really calming at the end of the day. I am immediately switching over to this product and adding it to my subscriptions. To use this, I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair and squeezed out the water, wet the bar, and put my hand on one side of my hair and the bar on the other and dragged it down towards my ends. I do this until I can feel that all of my hair has conditioner on it, and then I run my fingers through it to fully coat my hair and detangle it. I cannot recommend the conditioner bar enough!!

    Great detangler!

    This smells great, leaves my hair silky, and leaves my hair tangle free.

    I've opened a fresh shampoo bar so I can report how quickly one is used up compared to the other. Stay tuned!

    Very gentle conditioner

    I've got curly hair (about a 2c/3a) and it works great, and also works for my kids with straight hair. Doesn't weigh my hair down, but it's been so hydrated since I started using it. I switched from function of beauty. I was a little worried about the coconut oil content, because most commercial products with coconut oil makes me break out like crazy. This doesn't. I've also stopped using my hydrating curl cream because I don't need it anymore, so technically I've replaced not one product in a plastic bottle but 2 with this.
