Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

    Silky smooth and smells great!

    After several times using this conditioner bar (after having not used conditioner for a while) my hair is smoother and softer! The bar holds up great in my very enclosed, humid shower (better than my other Good Store soaps and shampoo bars honestly). The shape is easy to hold and apply. It makes my hair very slippery and easy to detangle in the shower. And it smells great while only leaving a very subtle scent in my hair after the shower, which is exactly what I want.

    A great conditioner bar, but conditioner bars can be difficult

    I don’t know if conditioner bars will ever be as easy to use as liquid conditioner, but this bar comes close. It smells great- no complaints there. It lathers pretty well- much better than other conditioner bars I’ve used. But it is still difficult to get the product distributed throughout my medium length, curly hair. If you’re used to other conditioner bars, then I think this will meet or exceed your expectations. If you are used to liquid conditioner, then it might take some time to get used to it.

    Really awesome, allergy friendly product. I can finally use hair conditioner again. It has been a huge relief!

    The hibiscus lemonade is a nice scent. I also ordered the "enigma" scentless bar in case I had trouble with this one, but it has been totally fine.

    Great formula, disappointing scent

    I really like the formula on this conditioner bar (although, it is the first I've tried). It's easy to apply and leaves my hair nourished without making it feel greasy. I'll definitely purchase again, but probably not in this scent. I have the hibiscus lemonade scent in the shampoo bar and absolutely love it, so I was very much looking forward to the scent of this bar. It only has a hint of its sister product. Instead, it's a rather medicinal or chemically smell that is unpleasant. I can't really place what smells off about it, but it's definitely not the luscious hibiscus lemonade of the shampoo bar.
