The ground coffee has a medium-coarse grind that works best with filter and immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pourovers (like the V60), french press, etc.

Why This Product

The Light Roast

Whether you are a coffee beginner looking for your preferred roast, or a coffee expert who obsesses over every grind, we cannot recommend the calypso roast highly enough. Light roasts have a higher caffeine content than darker roasts, making them perfect for a bright first cup of the day, or a pick me up in the afternoon when the hours start to drag. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Keats & Co was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment. Consume consciously.

    I need a 5 lb bag!!

    Love this coffee. I grind it medium/fine, sprinkle some salt in and put it in a pour over. Truly my very favorite part of the day.

    New Morning Staple

    My husband and I drink a pot of black coffee every morning. We have been using Dunkin Donuts beans for years but wanted to switch to something more sustainable. This Calypso blend fits the bill. It’s tastier than our normal brew without being burnt or bitter (no shame in a light roast despite what the coffee snobs say). Great everyday coffee.

    Great Conversations

    I own a tiny bar and in the bar I also serve this coffee. I love using the back of the package as a talking point. It takes people by surprise when I mention TB has to do with this coffee followed by great coversations.

    Weekend Brew

    Our family has been enjoying this lighter roast on the weekends. It is fine for weekdays, but the lighter roast lets us slow down and relax with a delicious pot of good coffee. We love just a bit of milk and sugar. This coffee is a real treat.
