Why This Product

Thrushsong Oolong

Thrushsong Oolong is a soft-spoken classic with a voice all its own. Delicately light at first sip, it settles into a mellow, uplifting richness that lingers just beneath the surface. There’s a quiet rhythm to it—like birdsong at dawn—that makes each cup feel like a moment worth keeping. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Sustainably Steeped

This gently roasted leaf has been imbued with a dash of natural flavoring, rather than true ginseng. Once prized for its restorative properties, wild ginseng has been pushed to the edge by decades of overharvesting. Our partners believe in building a sustainable tea trade, which means staying away from endangered and overharvested ingredients—out of respect for the land, and for the future of tea itself.

Where the Money is Going

Combatting Deadly Disease

Tuberculosis is the deadliest infectious disease of all time. In honor of John Keats and the billion people who’ve died of TB in the last two centuries, 100% of the profits from Keats & Co will fund tuberculosis testing and treatment through a new program with Partners in Health.

    Tasty!

It's a nice oolong with a subtle but pleasant ginseng flavor. A great everyday cup.

    Exceptional tea

This was an awesome Oolong. Subtle, flavorful and earthy. I would definitely recommend it. I was sad when I got to the bottom of the bag.

    delicious

First steep 195ºF, 3min (no rinse) - Delicious, vibrant, slightly floral, just very lovely.

Second steep 195ºF 5min - Sad and kind of bitter, a very weak and mild almost buttery green flavor. Fine I guess?

Normally I would expect an oolong to do better on its second steep than this managed, but good.store isn't selling it for any more than any of the other teas, so I don't mind so much that I'm probably only going to get one steep out of this tea, especially since the first was so delicious. Also to be clear my normal morning tea is usually a flavored black tea with milk and sugar -- my palate is not refined, I only pretend, so ymmv with how you find the second steep.

    A new favorite!

I've always been a black tea drinker, and dabbled in green, but this oolong has opened new doors for me and shown me the light! It will be a new staple for me, for sure!
