Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of shampoo that are good for your hair and your soul.

    Smells like the woods

    Smells amazing! I've tried a couple shampoo bar brands (Ethique and Kitsch) which work but usually leave a film in my hair. This brand however leaves my hair completely clean and smells great. I pair it with a conditioner bar from Ethique (conditioner is NOT applied to the roots). I'll buy this brand forever.

    Smells Great, but damaged in shipping

    I've only used it once so far, so I can't say how it will treat my hair long term, but after one wash (with conditioner) my hair feels great.

    The smell is amazing and reminds me of hiking in the mountains or looking for a Christmas tree with my family.

    One star off because the box was damaged in shipping (purely superficial, the shampoo itself was perfectly fine)

    My hair is great!

    Not a huge smell to this one, it would be nice to have a bit more, BUT, my hair feels and looks amazing after this, I live with CFS, so it can get hard to take daily showers, Before my hair would get greasy within a day, now I can last 2-3 days without it looking greasy (my hair does start to feel greasy if I don’t shower ever other day)

    Smells just like a christmas tree

    This shampoo bar has lasted me for months, lathers well and leaves my hair smelling like Christmas. Can't wait to try out the other scents and would love to see a warm vanilla one in the future. Great sustainable alternative to shampoo bottles!
