2 styles: Regular & Wide Calf

3 sizes:

  • S/M (Women's 5-8/Men's 3.5-6.5)
  • M/L (Women's 8.5-11.5/Men's 7-10)
  • L/XL (Women's 12-15/Men's 10.5-13.5)

15 - 20 MMHG Compression: Ideal for all-day every day wear. Offers moderate support to reduce ankle and leg swelling, ease tired and achy legs, and aid in muscle recovery. Commonly used in travel, mild to moderate edema, pregnancy, spider and varicose veins.

Materials: 48% Cotton, 42% Nylon, 10% Spandex

Care Instructions: Always wash your compression socks in cool water on a gentle or delicate cycle (or by hand) using a mild detergent, and never use hot water which can weaken elasticity. After washing, skip the dryer — air dry them (ideally turned inside out partway through) to maintain shape and fit.

Where it Comes From

From the Mind of Hank Green

When Hank Green was receiving cancer treatment in 2023, he began designing socks as a way to stay creative and connected. The limited-edition collection that followed helped raise funds through Partners In Health for a cancer treatment center in Africa, something meaningful to Hank after his own successful recovery. For these compression socks, Hank selected two of those original designs and we collaborated with VIM & VIGR to bring them into a high-performance compression format that supports comfort, movement, and everyday wear.

    A+ Compression Socks

    These really are stellar! I was a little concerned about sizing because I've been burned by other socks before but this size chart was quite accurate and they fit so well!

    I'm getting into compression socks because my POTS is getting a little worse as I get older and the compression on these socks is excellent for it.. While regular Awesome Socks are, you know, awesome, I think these are what I will reach for most. I would love to see them in more patterns.

    Thank you so much for offering these at all. Fun compression socks are hard to find to begin with, but getting to support charity too - what a damn sweet deal.

    Awesome Socks (Obviously!)

    Legitimately, I may get another pack of these socks in the future. If more patterns come out, I will absolutely add those to my sock drawer.

    Not long before these socks were released, I had sent in a suggestion for compression socks. I wear them for medical reasons and cannot layer socks so I can't wear the regular awesome socks/Hank Green Cancer Socks. I remembered seeing the video where Hank talked about designing these socks amid the harsh realities of cancer treatment. I was really excited to see these patterns used for the compression socks.

    These are not my first compression socks, but they have quickly become my favorite. The patterns don't leave indents on my legs even after a long day and they translate really well as knee-highs. The compression level is just right for the amount of support I need. Toes don't feel crowded, the heel is in a really good spot. The top cuff doesn't dig in like my other compression socks (a different brand) and I didn't realize they could be this comfortable. I wear the largest size because I have very large calves and they fit true to size.

    Overall I'm really impressed and excited to finally have some Awesome Socks. :)
