Paradoxa is a balanced medium-dark roast of Arabica beans, with slightly fruity notes of cherry and cocoa. Our decaf coffee maintains a complex flavor profile, making it perfect for a strong tasting cup that doesn’t keep you up all night. Add it to your afternoon routine to enjoy coffee all day round.

The ground coffee has a medium-coarse grind that works best with filter and immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pourovers (like the V60), french press, etc.

Why This Product

The Decaf

Decaf coffee has a bad reputation. Bland, unexciting, a sad shadow of its fully caffeinated sibling. We are looking to change this reputation with Paradoxa, a roast that lives up to its puzzling name. By using a sugar decaffeination method as opposed to harsh chemicals, we maintain the rich flavor of the coffee while removing that caffeine that has you up till 3 am. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Awesome Coffee Club was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment. Consume consciously.

Where the Money is Going

Great Coffee for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from The Awesome Coffee Club go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    My New Favorite Coffee

    I've been searching for good coffee for a while now and I'm happy to say, the search is finally over. Paradoxa is my new favorite coffee! It's the only decaf coffee I've found that isn't bitter and still has a great flavor.

    My favorite decaf beans

    Truly excellent decaf beans, easily my favorite. Fantastic for an evening espresso or as part of a coffee-chocolate icing on a cake. The price is a bit higher than ideal, but the ethics of Good Store more than make up for it!

    Ups the game

    I used to think coffee this good could only be found in some excursion to a place where an artisan crafts great coffee from great sources. I'm not qualified to judge if this is the perfect coffee, but it seriously ups the game. I don't think I can go back to any store bought coffee anymore.
