Pressing Matters with Compression Socks

Learn more about our awesome Compression Socks (plus, a new bundle). | By Aly Krajewski

Oh, reader; I have to admit something upfront, before we go any further, because if I don’t, it’ll sit in my chest and distract me the whole time I’m trying to write this.

I used to think compression socks were only for very specific people doing very specific things. Marathon runners. Nurses on their feet for twelve hours straight. Frequent flyers logging enough miles to earn status and calf fatigue. You know—the Pros. The rest of us? Surely we were fine with our normal, emotionally-supportive cotton socks.

Reader, I was wrong! It turns out compression socks are one of those quietly life-improving things you don’t realize you need until you try them…and then, suddenly, you’re wondering how you ever lived without that gentle, supportive hug around your calves. Especially when they also happen to fund cancer care.

So. Let’s talk about the Good Store Compression Socks, and the fact that we’ve officially made them a whole lot easier to say “yes” to.

The Big News (Before I Dive In)

We launched our compression socks a few months ago featuring re-issued designs from our very own co-founder, Hank Green (Hank designed a few sets of socks while undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2023). Now, we’ve gone ahead and marked each pair of our compression socks down to $29. And because we love a good pairing moment, we’ve also added a bundle option: both designs for $50!

Two socks. Two styles. Profit going to one very good cause. Let me tell you why these deserve a spot in your drawer.

Chartwork Compression Socks

These are the socks I imagine wearing on days when I want to feel quietly competent. They’ve got a clean, graphic look that somehow feels both modern and timeless—like they’d be equally at home under a desk, on a long walk, or peeking out from under wide-leg pants that make you feel like your life is optimally curated.

Beyond the aesthetics, the compression itself is the real hero here. Supportive without feeling restrictive, structured without feeling stiff. They’re socks that work with you, not against you.

Open Water Compression Socks

If Chartwork is calm confidence, Open Water is movement. These feel dynamic in a way that makes you want to actually do the thing—take the walk, stand a little longer, travel a little farther, say yes to the day instead of immediately sitting back down.

They’ve got a slightly more playful energy while still being deeply wearable, and the same reliable compression that makes your legs feel less tired at the end of the day. Which, frankly, we all deserve.

Why I’m Team “Get Both”

Compression socks are one of those items where having a second pair isn’t indulgent—it’s practical. One for wearing, one for washing. One for workdays, one for weekends. One for when you forget to do laundry (hypothetically).

The bundle makes it easy to cover all your bases—and double your impact. Because as with all Good Store products, 100% of profit from these socks go directly toward funding cancer care through Partners in Health. Real treatment. Real people. Real difference. Every step, quite literally, counts.

So if you’ve been compression-curious, sock-curious, or just looking for a purchase that feels genuinely good in every sense of the word—this might be your sign. Your legs will thank you!
