Fall Favorites: Cozy Autumn Picks from Good Store

Cozy Good Store Picks for the Most Festive Fall | By Malikai Smith

Is there any season more romantic than fall? Maybe I’m spoiled as a New Englander, but the dramatic colors, frosty mornings and fleeting nature of autumn make it the most visceral season without fail, year after year. It’s easy (and fun) to let yourself get swept up in the theater of fall. Yesterday, my wife and I busted out Gus the Ghost (the aptly named ghost-shaped throw pillow) to put on the couch atop our jack-o-lantern-themed blanket. We hung a fall-colored string runner of maple leaves and mushrooms across the mantel above the fireplace. We’re going to pick up some gourds this afternoon, and the pumpkin-shaped mugs have made their way out of storage. Fall is in full swing, and love it or hate it, pumpkin spice will be dominating the cafe and coffee shop menus for the next month and a half.

The brief nature of the season is what makes it so enjoyable. You need to really engage with the fall to get the most out of it, because if you blink, you just might miss it. Leaves lose their color and fall, a deep freeze grips the landscape, and winter is on us before we know it. So let’s embrace the season while it’s here and curate a fitting Good Store fall collection, starting with something you can snuggle up in:

The Good Store Crewneck

What sort of fall bundle would this be if it didn’t start with a crewneck? Sweatshirts and fall go together like peanut butter and jelly. Like salt and pepper. Like Good Store and giving. Is there anything more comfortable than being outside on a cool fall afternoon in a nice warm sweatshirt? Nothing comes to mind.

The super-soft white sweatshirt and the bright pop of orange of the embroidery would go perfectly next to a crackling fire on a cool fall evening with some good company. Like fall, this sweatshirt won’t be here forever. It’s also a limited edition, so get it while it lasts.

Cozy Candles for Fall

Speaking of crackling fires, you don’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t tried one of Good Store’s wooden-wick candles! Wood-wick candles crackle as they burn and add a nice audible flair in addition to the inviting smell that fills your home.

On the Trail is exactly the kind of warm, gourmand smell that fall is all about. Think about pumpkin pies. Cinnamon and clove. Spiced cider on the stove. That’s exactly what the spiced blend of honey and tonka in On the Trail delivers to turn an ordinary room into a cozy fall retreat with the simple striking of a match.

A cool night, a warm hoodie, a crackling candle? The only thing we’re missing is a warm mug of something for the perfect fall experience…

Fall Tea Favorites

Cue Keats & Co. Tea. Now with a name like Autumn Bold, who would I be to leave it off the list?

With the invigorating blend of apple and cinnamon mixed with the herbaceous chicory, Autumn Bold is a fall classic. Relaxing yet bold. Full-flavored and rich. That’s a steaming mug full of fall flavor. Naturally, on the list, and for good reason.

Autumn Bold sets a high bar, but we can’t talk about the perfect fall beverage without acknowledging Eversong Chai. I’m a sucker for a good chai. It’s sweet and spicy, it’s warm and inviting. As fragrant as it is delicious.

The spicy sweetness goes as well with breakfast as it does at the end of the day when you’re just getting home from work and winding down your day. Not a bad thing to be spoiled for choice, and with these two fall stars, there’s no going wrong.

Enjoy the Season

With the list complete and the fall in full swing, it’s time to go get some gourds, finish decorating with my wife, and enjoy the vibrant show the earth puts on in September and October.

Bundle up, build your Good Store fall ritual, and enjoy the season in style this year.
