Dot’s Spots: A Look at our Mascot’s Favorites

We let Dot take the reins on this week’s Good Store rec’s.  | by Aly Krajewski

As it is in most places in the US right now, it feels pretty cold and slow this week. So it only feels right to shake things up a little to get the proverbial ice off: A new perspective, a fresh set of eyes… a small, round mascot with impeccable taste and zero ability to make purchasing decisions without my help.

This week, I asked Dot (our beloved, ever-present Good Store guide) what products they’d point you toward if they were curating a cart of personal favorites. And while Dot doesn’t speak (and I am very much still the one typing), I have to admit: the picks are strong. Here’s what made the cut.

Keats & Co Thrushsong Oolong Tea

Image of a bag of Keats & Co Oolong tea on a table with slices of peachesOur Thrushsong Oolong feels like the kind of drink you reach for when you want to slow time down just a notch. This ginseng-flavored oolong strikes a lovely balance: rich but not overwhelming, comforting without being boring. It’s the tea equivalent of having your life together (or at least, pretending convincingly). Dot-approved for thoughtful mornings, creative afternoons, and anyone trying to romanticize their daily routine a liiittle more.

Sun Basin Soap Bar — Navigator

Navigator is a soap for people who want their shower to feel intentional, like a “reset” button you can press to receive some warm water and five quiet minutes to yourself. It might feel counterintuitive to have a brisk, minty soap bar in your rotation during the coldest months of the year, but the pep this puts in your step to take on the day is unmatched. Dot’s clearly into the idea of starting and ending the day feeling refreshed, steady, and (dare I say?) navigated.

Awesome Socks Club Subscription

Image of a person in an orange skirt and fun, colorful crew socks in front of a green backdropI don’t trust anyone who doesn’t get a little thrill from mail that isn’t a bill. The Awesome Socks Club delivers that joy monthly, in sock form, and somehow manages to make something deeply practical feel genuinely exciting. Dot’s pick makes perfect sense: they love the kind of gift that keeps showing up long after you’ve forgotten you signed up for it. Whether it’s for yourself or someone you love, future-you will be grateful every time laundry day rolls around.

Good Store Puzzle — Dot’s Day Out

Image of an open puzzle box with colorful illustration of Good Store's mascot, Dot out in a parkYou may not be a puzzle person, but there is a very likely chance you know a puzzle person, and an even likelier chance you love a puzzle person. Whatever the answer, having a shiny new puzzle on-hand is never a bad move. Dot’s Day Out is charming without being precious and engaging without being overwhelming. Dot obviously had a bias here—but honestly? Fair.

As always, the thing that ties all of these together isn’t just good design or thoughtful sourcing (though there’s plenty of that). It’s knowing that every purchase you make at Good Store sends 100% of profit where they’re needed most—toward real, high-impact charitable work around the world. So whether you’re sipping, scrubbing, sock-ing, or puzzling, you’re doing a little good along the way. And Dot wouldn’t have it any other way.
