5lb Bag - Arabica Coffee - Whole Bean or Ground

Each bag makes approximately 146 cups of coffee. If you order more than one 5lb bag they will each ship separately.

The ground coffee has a medium-coarse grind that works best with filter and immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pourovers (like the V60), french press, etc.

Whole bean coffee gives you the choice to grind your coffee the way you want. Can be used with immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pourovers (like the V60), french press, espresso, etc.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Awesome Coffee Club was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment. Consume consciously.

    Octavia Dark Roast - Yay!

    I was a little bit intimidated by the thought of ordering 5 pounds of coffee. That's a lot of coffee and I already had my favorite tried and true beans. But the lure of 100% profit going to profit for TB treatment was too strong. And I'm so happy I put in the order. The quality of the roast is amazing, works great in my cafe press, and I ground a couple of pounds to gift my mother-in-law. I'm looking forward to my next order (so I can try the light roast!)     I have no conception of 5lbs

    This is an extreme amount of coffee for one person, but just right for two of you're drinking this exceptionally delicious roast every day. I love this coffee. Knowing it makes the world suck slightly less helps me shed some guilt about drinking such delicious coffee. Is it okay to have a really good coffee every day when so much is going wrong in the world? Jimminy I have to hope so because I'm not going to stop.

    I learned that medium/dark roast coffee is perfect for espresso shots. I much prefer this to an espresso roast as it has delicious flavor.

    Good Coffee

    This was on my daughter's Christmas list. At Thanksgiving, she said she was going to buy coffee because she was completely out. I asked her if she wanted an early Christmas present. She was so happy she hugged the bag! It's her favorite!
