Why This Product

Evensong Chai

Evensong Chai is a wonderful way to end your day. The natural sweetness of the rooibos base creates a soft palette for the kaleidoscope of spices to mix and mingle. Cinnamon leads the way, followed by dark clove, and ethereal cardamom. Bright bursts of black pepper and cayenne light up the mouth, making every sip an experience to savor. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Red Tea

This rooibos is harvested in the Western Cape province of South Africa, where the plant is endemic. The deep roots fix nitrogen in the soil and encourages other plants growing in the area. If caffeine isn’t your thing, rooibos is a great replacement for tea with deep, earthy notes and a honeyed finish.

Where the Money is Going

Combatting Deadly Disease

Tuberculosis is the deadliest infectious disease of all time. In honor of John Keats and the billion people who’ve died of TB in the last two centuries, 100% of the profits from Keats & Co will fund tuberculosis testing and treatment through a new program with Partners in Health.

    Gently Sweet and Spicy

I like chai, but I usually drink tea in the evenings, so I was excited to see that this chai was caffeine free. The tea has a soft sweetness, I assume from the rooibos. It's not as spicy as other chais, but that's well suited to an evening tea, and while the spiciness is gentle, it lingers. I'll be ordering this again.
