Please make a less powdery, more granulated version

Please make a less powdery, more granulated version

Seems to work fine, but as numerous other reviewers have stated, it is a VERY fine powder. It can get into the air quite easily. I haven't had a problem with this myself, though many others seem to be accidentally breathing it in. See the attached video for a demonstration of just how bad this problem is.

More importantly to me, the fine-ness results in the loaded dose clumping up inside the compartment and never getting used. I think what's happening is that a small amount of water leaks into the compartment during the prewash, which causes it to clump and solidify. Then when the compartment opens, it's already effectively glued itself to the compartment wall. I suspect this wouldn't be as much of an issue in dishwashers where the compartment is sealed better, or where water streams interact with the opened compartment, but that is apparently not the case in my dishwasher. The relevant attached photo showed the leftover clumped product from my most recent wash. Normally it's far worse than this, leaving much more behind. It does depend on how much I put in; the more product I use the bigger percentage of that product is left behind.

Regardless, I suspect both of these issues would be solved if the product could be manufactured with slightly larger granule sizes. The other attached photos compare this product versus Cascade powder. It's hard to even see the difference in granule sizes, but the Cascade feels and acts much…

    10/10

Love it! Super easy add to my sustainable products. I like transferring it to a jar I can pour from, but it'd be super easy to use a scoop. I love being able to go by ~vibes~ instead of the pre measured packs.

    Almost the perfect dishwasher powder

I bought this after watching Technology Connections video about it - it is almost the perfect dishwasher powder. My clear glassware and white plates came out perfectly clean and clear with just 1 tbsp wash and 1 tsp pre-wash even with super hard water. One request to make it perfect - please figure out how to make it not crazy powdery when you open up the package. I cough from the cloud of dust that comes up whenever I open the bag!

    Doesn’t dissolve?

Sadly this powder doesn’t dissolve well in my machine. I have used it three times, and every time there is still plenty (50%+ by volume) of soggy powder left in the open detergent door. I get my tap running to 130° before starting my machine on the heavy cycle. My dishes end up looking clean enough, but I have a suspicion it’s mainly from the strong rinsing they get. Honestly I have no idea how much of the detergent is used or if it’s just all condensed and soggy by the end of the wash.

    So far, so good!

I’ve used the dishwasher powder for ~2 weeks, and it has been good so far! Dishes are coming out sparkly clean, which is the goal, and there are no strange smells or liquid gooey messes to deal with, from liquid detergent.
