From Dot to Dot: Introducing The New Good Store Blog
Aly Krajewski, Good Store Art Director

Over here at Good Store, we’ve been thinking for a while about starting a blog—but a big question we wanted to answer correctly was, why? Good Store’s mission and ethos has always been about more than what’s on the shelves. Behind every product, there’s a bigger story: how it was made, who it supports, and why that matters. This is a space where we’ll get to share those stories, along with maybe a few experiments, questions, and discoveries along the way.
The blog name Connecting the Dots felt right, because that’s really the whole point. A bar of soap isn’t just a bar of soap; it’s part of a bigger story, from how it’s made, to the people who make it, to what causes each purchase supports. A cup of coffee can be about more than just caffeine; it can be about whether farmers are paid fairly and how the profits support Tuberculosis eradication. Even small, everyday choices connect to something larger.
If you’re new here: Good Store started with a pretty simple idea—that buying the things you need should also make the world a little better. We believe your everyday purchases can add up to big change. Everything in the shop is produced with that in mind: good quality products, sustainable production methods, and truly important causes. It’s not about being perfect (spoiler: none of us are!). It’s about making changes that add up and learning as we go.
This will be our space to do exactly that: learn out loud. Some weeks we might zoom in on a product, unpacking why it’s different or how it was made. Other weeks might be more reflective: what does it mean to try and live “sustainably” when life is busy, messy, and sometimes contradictory? And occasionally, we’ll just share something we’re curious or excited about, even if it doesn’t have a neat conclusion.
At its best, Connecting the Dots should feel like a conversation. We hope you’ll read along, ask questions, and maybe even see your own choices in a new light. If that sounds like your kind of thing, stay tuned to read more—we can’t wait to hear from you!
Thanks for being here at the start. We’re excited to see where the dots lead.
