Sisal Soap Saver Bag
$5.00
The sisal soap saver begins in the agave fields, where strong fibers grow under sun and wind. Woven into this pouch, it carries more than soap—it carries intention. Slip in your favorite Sun Basin bar, shampoo bar, or the last slivers you once thought too small to use. Lather. Scrub. Let the natural texture renew your skin and spirit. A simple ritual, free of plastic, full of purpose.
Dimensions:
5.1" x 3.5"
Materials: Natural sisal fibers with a cotton drawstring
Care instructions:
Regular rinsing: Rinse the bag after each use to remove soap residue.
Deep cleaning: For a more thorough cleaning, you can hand wash the bag with mild soap and water or machine wash it on a gentle cycle.
Sanitizing: To sanitize, you can soak the bag in a solution of warm water with white vinegar or baking soda, or boil it briefly (1x per week).
Soap is not included.

Why This Product
The trick to making the most of every bar of soap? A Sun Basin Sisal Soap Saver Pouch (say that three times fast). That’s why we chose this naturally exfoliating, plastic-free option—made from durable agave fibers and built to lather. It helps you use up every last bit, while replacing wasteful loofahs for good. Try it out.
Where it Comes From
We worked with one of our manufacturing partners to make this sisal pouch. Each one of our suppliers are vetted by our team to make sure that they are adhering to fair labor practices.
Where the Money is Going
The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin products go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.
Yeah, so predictably bits of the bag get kind of brown and crusty, which isn't gorgeous. This is mostly around the top and the string at the top. However, if you can get past that, it certainly works well. It helps the soap to lather well even before you need to use it to save the last little bits of soap, so I just put the whole half-used bar in there and it's nice. But I'll def have to wash it now and then.
The soaps are so aromatic. My sister loves it! Will be buying a subscription :)
This is a review of the soap saver bag. (By the way, if you ever notice a review that starts with the full name of the product, you can assume that person was paid for that review. Now I didn’t include the “Sisal” in the name, so you know I wasn’t paid for this. Oh, wait… But, no, I promise I was not paid for this!)
Now before I can tell you about the soap saver bag, I have to talk about the soaps from Good.Store. They are great. Except that super exfoliating one (the brown one). Unless you are a huge fan of Lava soap, you are probably not going to like that one. If you like exfoliation, get the blue one, instead. (I don’t remember the names of any of the soaps, as you can probably tell.)
Small soaps are annoying, but in the first season of the Simpsons, Lisa Simpson showed us how to solve this problem. (You: “Like, OMG! The Simpsons’ FIRST season? Isn’t that show, like, 30 years old?” No. It’s MORE than 30 year old. Now shut up.) In the episode, she had pressed all of the little soaps into one big soap, so they did not go to waste. So, the solution for the soaps from Good.Store is to press the old small soap into the new bar of soap and fuse them together. (You: “Isn’t this supposed to be a review of the soap bag?” Yes. I’m getting to that.) If you rub the soap directly on your body in the shower (the way nature intended), it is very easy to fuse the soaps. When the soap gets thin, get both the old soap and the new soap wet and press them together. Let them sit…
Not much else to say
I got this product and it made a big difference.
Last year, I made the switch from liquid, plastic-contained body wash to bar soap and it was the best decision I made. I have become mildly obsessed with the solid form of soap, but I kept buying it at the same rate that I bought regular soap. It wasn't until I looked at the cabinet and saw I had a small stockpile of soap. This product is the reason that stockpile is still there. I am now on month three of the same bar of Sun Basin soap, and I think it might last me until April as this progresses. This bag is a wonder.
