Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone.     Mint is amazing!

    The mint shampoo I have used before - and love it! Now, I was so happy to hear the good store was going to carry conditioner bars because -why not? Y'all... the mint conditioner bar is above the 5 start mark!! It tingles the scalp when left on a few minutes (in a fantastic way) and the smell is out of this world! Of course the feeling of my hair after is soooo soft:) I love this conditioner!!!!

    Very rich formula

    I am pleasantly surprised that the conditioner bar is both rich and hydrating and also light enough that it doesn’t weigh down my fine hair. I have fallen in love with the eucalyptus tea tree scent — it makes my shower smell fancy. Plus, I love that I will no longer buy hair products in single use plastic containers!

    Yay for Haircare

    I'm so so so so so so so so so so glad they sell conditioner too now!! The conditioner is fantastic, it leaves my hair so soft and you don't need much of it at a time. It smells a bit different than I was expecting, though I'm not sure how to describe it. It's not as sweet or floral I expected, but I still like it!

    Mint & Rosemary Bundle

    I was pleasantly surprised with the shampoo and conditioner bars. I have very long, fine hair and was a bit skeptical of using a bar instead of my usual products, but wanted to be more eco minded and was tired of plastic bottles taking up space in the shower.

    The switch was actually very easy and I've noticed that I haven't had the same level of scalp itching/dandruff that I was getting with my usual shampoo. The mint and rosemary scent was exactly what I hoped it would be and isn't too strong.
