Nectar is a bright and lively light roast of Bourbon beans with tasting notes of citrus, melon, and herbs. This coffee is perfect for a long and gentle cold brew to coax out its sweeter flavors, but would also shine in a pour-over for a complex morning brew.

Nectar is only available for a limited time.

12 oz Bag - Bourbon Coffee Beans - Whole Bean - Light Roast - Brew at 90-96 degrees C, 195-205 Degrees F for best results.

Grown by the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative in Rwanda at 1,700-2,000 MASL

Whole bean coffee gives you the choice to grind your coffee the way you want. Can be used with immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pour-overs (like the V60), french press, espresso, etc.

Spring Seasonal Roast

Nectar is a coffee that lives up to its name. A burst of sunshine in a cup, this coffee heralds the brighter days of summer with tart citrus and mellow melon undertones. However, Nectar is not one note, its upfront sweetness is countered by a complex herbal bitterness that will have you lingering over every sip. Only available for a limited time - try it out!

Where it Comes From

Dukunde Kawa Cooperative

Nectar is grown in Gakenke, in the northern province of Rwanda by members of the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative. This cooperative serves over 2,100 farmers, and provides equipment, training, and wash stations to small holders who would otherwise be unable to access high quality equipment. Working together allows these smaller farmers to combine their lots and use the best processing methods to guarantee higher prices for their harvests.

This specific blend is harvested entirely from women owned farms—Eighty percent of the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative's members are women, not only allowing them to bring in income for themselves and their families, but offering them tools to build an economic voice in the region. Consume consciously.

Where the Money is Going

Great Coffee for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from The Awesome Coffee Club go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Surprising Depths of Flavor

    I have been adoring this roast and wish I could make it part of my subscription while it's available!

    I usually feel a bit meh on light roast, but this one has wonderful flavors that really sing when brewed as a pourover. It feels especially bright and is a great brew for this time of year. Every drink puts a smile on my face. THIS is why people start to love coffee!
