Our single serve pods and packaging are FULLY COMPOSTABLE! So you can do good for the planet as well. GreenPods are made from components that have been certified for industrial compost facilities. You can compost these at home or check with your composting service to confirm they accept these as some facilities differ in what materials they can process. Our coffee pods can be used in most single-serve coffee machines. These pods do not have a barcode on them, so if your machine requires a barcode in order to make your drink, these will not be compatible.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Awesome Coffee Club was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment.     Great Coffee!

    The coffee is great, and maybe the best I’ve had in Keurig style machines. I wish the pods weren’t individually packaged and instead were in one package for a little less waste. It’s hard to recycle/compost the type of material they come in. However, the efforts are great in making the earth a slightly more awesome place. It would be great to order in bulk for the place I manage too.

    rethinking life after drinking this

    i get the light roast coffee and this is making me rethink that maybe i need the medium/dark roast. delicious. my only comment would be they are so close to making the entire thing compostable - cmon hank, use that big brain and convert the plastic band into a thicker paper or something!

    Coffee tastes great, the proceeds go to a good cause, and the pods are compostable. There is literally no downside. I bring these in to work and cannot recommend them too highly!

    The flavor is wonderful, and if we keep drinking them the way we have been I’ll have to adjust the subscription so we get them more often. Love having this option!

    I Now Care About Coffee

    I've never cared much about the quality of my coffee--I subscribed because I liked where my money was going. But now that I've been drinking good coffee, I can't stand the cheap stuff anymore. I have ascended from Caffeine Junkie to Coffee Snob and I'm not even sorry.
