Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Very Nice Soap!

    These soaps smell very nice! I like the sample pack concept. I do wish though that there was an option of getting a label of some sort on the box they come in or an info sheet about them sent with it, as I plan on giving them as a gift and want the person to easily remember where they're from!

    They lather really well and smell amazing!

    At first I was worried they were so small, but I cut 1 bar into 8 pieces (it seems super tiny, but it worked for me) and I was able to do 1-2 full body washes with sufficient lather. It’s way better than my previous soap in terms of longivity; It doesnt absorb water as much and doesn’t dissolve instantly, but still lathers. I use way less soap than my previous gen brand.

    I feel like they clean really well (pro/con for some since it leaves a little bit of dry feeling, but that means it’s doing it’s job as a soap!) The feeling after isnt super drying, I barely notice it, its just like normal soap.

    Not a huge fan of the citrusy smells as a body soap since it just makes me think of pinesol😅, but it’d be perfect as a hand soap.

    I LOVED the peppermint scented one. Will be buying a full size bar. I wish I could have tried the navigator scent because it had me curious, but still I liked this sample pack. :)

    perfect!

    I loved this sample pack! It was everything I was hoping it would be. Each sample is sizable enough to get a few washes in so you can really get a sense of each bar. The bars are also a great size for travel or taking on the go!

    First of all these soaps are excellent. I'm pretty sensitive to how soap feels on my skin and these soaps feel perfect. Also very helpful to have a sample option to test out a few scents. It would be nice to be able to choose which ones we sample, but I realize that's a lot more complicated for the Good Store and keeping things simple is also good.
