The Awesome Undies Club is Saving Your Skivvies (and Saving the World)

A firsthand account of just how great Awesome Undies are. | By Malikai Smith

Folks: let’s talk about underwear.

They come in all shapes and sizes. They all serve the essential same function, but each pair can have as much separating it from its counterparts as they have in common. Some pairs are purely for function. Some are as interesting as the clothes they’re under.

Tried and True Favorites

But in this varied landscape of undergarments, we’ve all got our favorite pair or two of undies, don’t we? For me, it’s a grey pair of boxer briefs adorned with bright yellow bananas. Classic. Timeless. (My wife hates them.) Now, I’ll admit - and it pains me to say this - they’re nearing their end. They’ve served honorably, gone above and beyond the call of duty, and they’ve supported me admirably. But elastic wears, fabric thins, and time comes for us all. I can already hear faint trumpets playing and the crackle of a 21-gun salute in the distance. The banana briefs are past their prime, I have to accept that, and it’s time for a new favorite. Luckily for me, Good Store has just what the doctor ordered.

I love a little splash of flavor across the board—variety is the spice of life, after all. Heck, I just got done shaving down from a beard to mutton-chops, which, coincidentally, my wife likes even less than she liked the banana briefs. C’est la vie. So imagine my delighted surprise when I opened up my package from the Awesome Undies Club and looked right into the eyes of a smiling little extra terrestrial! I’m talking floating alien heads, rocket ships, ringed planets, and all the stars your little heart can imagine. Jackpot.

MeUndies MicroModal

My old grey banana briefs have passed the baton to a new bright orange pair of briefs that fit like a glove and feel great on my skin. Made from the same material that MeUndies uses in all their underwear technology, the UltraModal weave is smooth as butter and sustainably sourced from beachwood fibers. Sounds weird, I know. Fibrous wood isn’t typically the first thing in my mind either when I’m thinking about soft fabrics. But I learned this lesson, first a few Christmas’ ago when my sister-in-law got me a pair of socks made from bamboo fiber that are softer than any cashmere I’ve ever touched, and again when I got my Awesome Undies Club boxers. Mother Nature knows what she’s doing, and she can make some great (and did I mention sustainable?) products when we work with her, which is just what Good Store is doing.

Independent Artists

Now, let’s talk about who else is working to make sure you’re looking good, feeling great, and treating yourself to the undies you deserve.

Independent artists are doing what they do best: delivering beautiful designs that you can wear with pride. Each month, Good Store is highlighting the work of one of these independent creatives (shout out March 2026 artist Ketaki Watve!), so you can get to know who’s responsible for designing your new favorite undies.

Where Art Meets Science

Next is where art meets science, and profits meet people. 100% of profits from Awesome Undies Club go to the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. Spending feels a lot better when the money is going towards the construction & maintenance of a maternity center in Africa, as well as the training of its staff to ensure that mothers can get the health care they deserve, doesn’t it? Every month, you get a fresh, silky new pair of undies delivered to your door, and you move the needle on something beautiful. We all have mothers, and we all wear underwear (I hope).

Awesome Undies Club wants to put you in the comfiest pair you’ve ever worn and give the care mothers around the world should have while doing it for less than the cost of your go-to streaming service. Sign me up! (Well, sign yourself up, I’ve already signed myself up.)
