Where it Comes From
Awesome Undies from two places. The pens of the incredibly talented artists we work with, and Pacific Manufacturing in Haining, China. Each month we work with a new independent artist who gets full control of the undies as their canvas. Once they’ve perfected the artwork, we send it to the talented craftspeople in Haining who specialize in producing high quality garments - Seriously, our undies don’t wear out.
Where the Money is Going
The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from The Awesome Undies Club go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.
I bought the blue pair and the purple hair in bikini. The gussets are slightly different!
I love the waistband, I wish the rest were like the waistband in terms of thickness or that the waistband was thinner to match the body.
I also wish there was more fabric to the body of the undies. There's a bit to be desired around the booty, and the gusset could certainly be wider.
That being said, they are still pretty cozy! Not too bad minus a bit of wedgy. I like thicker undies though, personally.
I love the boxer briefs -the material is excellent, the stretch-ability is good, and the designs are brilliant just like the socks! I do like the bikinis as well, however, the band on them feels too thick for bikini style. I like the thick band for other styles that are higher rise or meant styled more for less curvy bodies (like the boxers). But I have a more curvy body and since they aren't high-rise designs, if I pull them higher for the band to fit, there is little coverage below if you catch my drift. But then if I wear them lower (which is my preference) the band tends to get folded over since it is so wide of a waist band.
I think my overall preference is for the bikinis to have a thinner waist band, but if not that, I would like to see other styles of underwear like high-rise or 'hipster' styles. I do love the ones I have and I hope they get even better! Thanks for all you do <3
This was an international delivery, it took like a month for them to get here but it was well worth the wait. The material is awesome. They fit okay and are really comfy. I do think I will be subscribing.
For reference, I'm 5'4 and 120 lbs. I carry most of my weight in my hips/butt.
First, the good:
The fabric feels INCREDIBLE. Genuinely the softest fabric I've ever felt. I love that it's a plant-based breathable. I like the thick band; it's high quality, and I love the luster of the purple. I also enjoy the pattern on the gusset. All of my current underwear have a plain gusset, and the patterned is something I didn't know I wanted until I had it. The quality of these materials is unmatched.
The constructive feedback:
First priority: QC inspections need to be priority number one, like BADLY. My underwear had not one, but TWO holes in them. I expect better quality control from a $5 pair from target, so to experience this with a $15 dollar pair, and from a brand I respect, was quite disappointing. Less importantly, the sewing/surging/trimming was messy in some places, but I think this is likely a failure from the same part of the assembly as the holes issue. If I didn't know the mantra behind this company, or personally support the Green brothers, this would have completely turned me off from buying another pair. I don't know who is doing the sewing and/or the QC but I feel like these issues should have been caught in multiple places along the way.
Personal preference commends:
Design:
I want these to make me look like a snack, not become a snack for my butt. I know this is a cheeky bikini but PLEASE consider changing the design. As a petite girl with a slightly larger…
Thank you so much for this detailed feedback! We are taking all of these points seriously and bringing them to the team for future improvements.
I got a pair of both styles and after a few wears now I really like the feel of them both! The fabric is so nice and the waistband really comfortable.
I did come to say what it seems like a lot of the reviews are saying, though - the cheeky fit is a lot cheekier than I prefer. Especially as a slightly thicker girl (5’3 and 180ish, most weight in my hips), it just gets jammed up there immediately, always, lol. I wasn’t really caught by surprise, because they are called cheeky and that’s how most cheeky fits fit me! But I probably won’t subscribe unless there’s an option with some more coverage like a bikini or boyshort fit. The boxers are great but the edges roll or bunch right up my thighs as well. I could try to size up for that but a longer inseam would be great.
Overall really like them, though! Excited to see what may change after some of this initial feedback. Thanks good store! :)
