In a sentence, how would you describe your work?
Vibrant and heart-centered art that celebrates self-sovereignty and finding joy in everyday moments.

Do you have any favorite themes you enjoy working with?
Some of the themes I enjoy working with are self-reflection and finding the joy in slice-of-life moments.

What mediums do you like to work in?
Pencil and paper are still my favorite but most of the artwork I share is digital.

Do you have a dream project you'd like to work on someday?
Probably doing a mural somewhere on my home island of Guåhan (Guam)! Preferably indoor since it’s so hot outside haha.

What drew you to the imagery of the sun and the moon?
I’ve just always enjoyed celestial imagery and the different symbolic meanings they have for different people. As they are, they already provide so much for us and then they can also convey deeper meanings depending on the person.

Can you talk a little about your design process? Where do you draw your inspiration from, and how do you work shop your design from draft to final?
I try to pay attention to my interests and what about them I can bring into my art–either literally or figuratively. I do a couple of sketches of different concepts and from there I ask myself, ‘which one would be the MOST fun to make?’. I choose a direction and try out different layouts to see what I like–sometimes I’ll know instantly what I’m going for or what I like and other times, it takes me a while to figure out. It’s the same thing when I'm coloring–it’s like figuring out the different puzzle pieces that only make sense to me.

Do you have a favorite feature of the sock design?
I specifically wanted to be able to wear the sun and moon facing outwards on each side, the duality is fun!

Ankle or crew socks for preference?
Crew socks!
