Where it Comes From

Local Experts

We work with Lake Missoula Tea Company, a local tea shop, blender, and wholesaler to source all of our teas. Lake Missoula Tea is an established favorite in the Missoula community, with many of our staff frequenting their downtown shop before we even considered opening a tea subscription. In addition to being a local favorite, Lake Missoula Tea shares the Good Store’s values around sourcing with their suppliers, meaning that we’re able to partner with farms that are leading the way with fair labor practices and environmentalism in their regions.

    Delicious

Great tea, clearly high quality ingredients, we are very satisfied! It’s really nice to have a caffeine free chai for drinking in the evening.

    I'm so impressed!

I grew up in a tea drinking household, but I've only been using looseleaf for 5ish years. I'm the sort of person that will drink almost any tea with no complaints but I can tell when tea is a good quality, and this tea is AMAZING! I would have purchased one time because I love John and Hank and all the good store stands for, but I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer. I got a bundle with all the varieties and deliberately tried the two I was most skeptical about first - the chai and the ginger. I love chai, but have never had a decaf one I liked, and I usually am not a fan of rooibos, so when I say that is chai is great, you should really believe me. The spices perfectly balance with the sweetness of the rooibos. The ginger tea is similarly well balanced. The green tea isn't bitter at all. The mint is refreshing, and the black teas are exactly what I want. I love that the package has the water and tea amounts as well as the temperature and brew time. My kettle can be set to specific temperatures so I've been brewing as directed and it's been perfect every time.

    New favorite green tea!

I enjoy green tea, but let's be honest. They're not all great, and it can be hard to find a nice one.

I've been trying both bagged and loose the past few months to find my daily "go to", and the April Meadows Green is simply lovely! First, for a loose leaf, the brewing instructions are *spot on.* I used exactly how much tea & water are suggested and brewed for the exact amount of time, and it came out perfectly. Smooth and slightly grassy, it has the perfect hint of bitterness that does not overwhelm the other notes, but complements them. A walk through a spring meadow really is an apt metaphor for this tea.
