Why This Product

The Decaf

Decaf coffee has a bad reputation. Bland, unexciting, a sad shadow of its fully caffeinated sibling. We are looking to change this reputation with Paradoxa, a roast that lives up to its puzzling name. By using a sugar decaffeination method as opposed to harsh chemicals, we maintain the rich flavor of the coffee while removing that caffeine that has you up till 3 am. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Awesome Coffee Club was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment. Consume consciously.

    My New Favorite Coffee

    I've been searching for good coffee for a while now and I'm happy to say, the search is finally over. Paradoxa is my new favorite coffee! It's the only decaf coffee I've found that isn't bitter and still has a great flavor.

    It seems fine. But I might update the score.

    Ok so. I have not had ground/whole bean coffee in a while. And this is my first time going back to it in nearly a year.

    And it is not what I expected. I am going to pickup some of my old go to beans and another brand of decaf to try and make a better comparison.

    But in a bubble with nothing to compare to. These were fine. But did not seem like anything I want to keep paying for when my local Aldi is 1/4 the price. However there is value in the other aspects of ordering from The Good Store. I just need some time to make comparisons to fully form an opinion.

    Honestly the best decaf coffee we’ve ever had.

    Full robust flavor so we don’t feel like we were “settling” when we want coffee later in the day without having any caffeine issues at bedtime.
