Why This Product

The Decaf

Decaf coffee has a bad reputation. Bland, unexciting, a sad shadow of its fully caffeinated sibling. We are looking to change this reputation with Paradoxa, a roast that lives up to its puzzling name. By using a sugar decaffeination method as opposed to harsh chemicals, we maintain the rich flavor of the coffee while removing that caffeine that has you up till 3 am. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Awesome Coffee Club was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment. Consume consciously.

    My New Favorite Coffee

    I've been searching for good coffee for a while now and I'm happy to say, the search is finally over. Paradoxa is my new favorite coffee! It's the only decaf coffee I've found that isn't bitter and still has a great flavor.

    Great afternoon sipper

    This roast is a wonderful hot drink when you still need to be able to fall asleep in a few hours. My wife and I use it as our go-to after dinner coffee for guests and our personal choice for staying warm on a snow day.

    The only mark-off from 5 stars is that it has a bit of that processed decaf taste. Not that it's something that can be avoided fully (I don't know) but just be aware!

    Unexpectedly delicious - no downside really

    Great coffee, tastes like you expect coffee to taste but has lost some of the bitterness.

    I love having the choice to make some very delicious coffee in the evening without sacrificing sleep quality.
