These are the first pair of men’s underpants I’ve ever worn that apparently are not designed or intended for men. The sizing is two sizes too small compared to the sizing of mainstream brands. With Hanes and Fruit of the Loom, I wear a size large. I ordered these in 2XL because I expected them to run a little small, knowing I could change the size later. But even at 2XL, these are still uncomfortably tight in the waist. I suspect that the sizing is more in line with underwear designed specifically with women in mind.
Speaking of which, these underpants do not have any sort of flap or hole in the front. This makes it necessary to lower the entire waist of the underpants in order to urinate standing up, as most men do. That’s fine if you only wear athletic gear like sweatpants, but for those of us that wear grown-up clothes, this is a major inconvenience.
There is a little bit of extra cloth in the groin area that could provide a minimal amount of support for external genitalia, but it seems more like an afterthought. In fact, it feels like it may have been designed more to help secure menstrual products than anything else.
In all, I’m again underwhelmed by a Good Store product. The quality is pretty good, the product is sustainable, and the price is fair, but they are not intended for men and shouldn’t be marketed that way. The Good Store seems to focus their products more for customers who are women and there’s nothing wrong with that, but I wish they would realize that…
