Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

The founding goal of The Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Smells like a cozy dream

    This bar is so good. The combination of cinnamon and citrus is the perfect balance of warm and bright. It lathers really well, feels super moisturizing thanks to the cocoa butter, and the ingredients are completely clean. It has easily become a new favorite in my routine.

    I was a liquid guy!

    Forever a changed man. I never thought using a bar of soap would be for me. Nothing has felt or smelled better. The bar itself lasts for a while. Sometimes I just gift a bar from my monthly sub, because of its lasting use. The freshness of Daydreamer hits just right, any time of day or year. My hands have never felt softer too. I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said by many times already. Feel good using this product because it does good and has quality. Take that, middle school fundraiser chocolate bars. Quality and sustainability can go hand in hand!
