Where it Comes From

The Sun Basin

The Sun Basin is a remote valley cradled in the mountains of Missoula, MT. Wind catches words, moments, and memories, sweeps them into the sky, and settles them gently into the basin, allowing us to gather them up as inspiration and present them to Botanie, our local soap making partners. Botanie then distills the memories, mixes them in small batches with gorgeous natural ingredients, and turns out bars of soap that are good for your skin and your soul.

Where the Money is Going

Great Soap for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from Sun Basin Soap go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    Loving it so far!

    I’m happy to be able to get one each month because it’s been getting popular at home (family of 4) and the next one comes on time when the bar is nearly gone. I can also rank each scent and keep that in mind when I look into buying specific bars later on.

    Soap is fun??

    I had never gotten a thrill out of soap in my life before. With the soap surprise club, each new flavor it incredibly unique and fun. I definitely have some scents that I like the most, and will probably order more of those specifically in the future, but this has been a great way to try a sampler of them and discover what I like.
